Bid Advertisement – Existing Storage Building Improvements

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Clay County Fiscal Court is seeking SEALED BIDS for the remodeling of the existing building at 100 Town Branch Road, Manchester, KY.

All bids shall be submitted in a SEALED envelope marked “Storage Building Improvements”. Bids shall be submitted based on drawings and specifications dated March 20, 2024 and can be
found on our website at https://claycountyky.com/ or by calling (606) 598-2071. Bids shall be structured as a lump sum base bid as well as separate lump sum bids for alternate construction
options as follows:

  1. Remodel – Lump Sum Base Bid
  2. Alternates
    • a. Deck
      • I. 5’x10’
      • II. 10’x10’
    • b. Ground Floor
      • I. Concrete Floor
      • II. Wood Floor
    • c. Front Façade
      • I. Brick Veneer
      • II. Aluminum Framed Storefront

Vendors must submit their SEALED bids to the office of the Clay County Judge/Executive on or before 10:00 AM local time May 8, 2024, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids will then be presented to the Fiscal Court at the regular scheduled meeting at 3:00 PM on May 9, 2024. Vendors are responsible for verifying all quantities and scope of work before submittal of their bid.

Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.445 are prohibited.

No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for 90 days after the date the bids are opened. Any bid received after the time specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the
bidder.

Clay County reserves the right to waive any informality and may reject any and all bids. Clay County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The Clay County Fiscal Court may make purchases using funds received under the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program pursuant to the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) or funding mechanisms for other government programs. The use of such funds obligates the bidder or seller to comply with certain terms and conditions, program regulations, without limitation, set forth in 2 C.F.R. Part 200, and other applicable laws. Any selected bidder will be required to execute a purchase agreement including, without limitation, a requirement that such bidder will adhere to the requirements attached to these funds.
