About The Fiscal Court
The Clay County Fiscal Court
The Clay County Fiscal Court is comprised of the County Judge Executive, elected at large by the residents of the entire county, and six magistrates, elected by residents of their corresponding districts.
The Kentucky Constitution of 1891 gave the name “Fiscal Court” to the body in each county that would act as that county’s government.
Each member of the Fiscal Court serves a 4-year term.
Fiscal Court Meetings Are Open To The Public
Scheduled Meetings: The Fiscal Court meets the second Thursday each month at 3:00 PM in the Fiscal Court Meeting Room in the Clay County Administration Building.
If you have an issue that you would like to address before the Fiscal Court, please call (606) 598-2071 or stop by our office at least ten (10) days prior to the next Fiscal Court meeting in order to be added to the agenda.
