Kentucky Fish and Wildlife opens new Wildlife Management Area in Clay County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WBKO) – The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has opened a new Wildlife Management Area in eastern Kentucky.

The funds came from the Kentucky Wetland and Stream Mitigation Program for stream restoration projects on Little Sexton Creek.

Per the release, Little Sextons Creek WMA comprises 1,114 acres along and north of Little Sexton Creek in Clay County, a tributary of the South Fork Kentucky River in neighboring Owsley County.

The property, located in Manchester, provides public access for hunting, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The property is now open under statewide regulations.
