Barbara White Colter: A Life of Leadership and Service

 

Barbara White Colter has long been recognized throughout Eastern Kentucky as a dedicated public servant, educator, community leader, and advocate for working families. Her career has been defined by a commitment to improving the lives of the people she served, both in the classroom and in public office.

r, educator, government leader, and civic advocate, Colter built a reputation for hard work and determination. Throughout her years of service, she focused on practical issues that directly affected Eastern Kentucky families, including education, infrastructure, economic development, health care, and public safety.

As State Representative for Kentucky’s 90th House District, Barbara White Colter worked to secure funding and opportunities for communities across the region. During her time in office, she supported more than $200 million in projects aimed at improving roads, schools, and economic development initiatives in Clay and Leslie counties.
